This Sunday night, the Kensington Church Youth Program is hosting a night of hope for our community. Several communities in metro detroit have lately had to face the issue of teen suicide, none more-so than the Lake Orion area. In response to recent suicides in Rochester and Birmingham, and to the lingering affects of suicides in the Lake Orion area we will be providing a hope-filled message to students and families Sunday night.
Please spread the word about this event. People NEED hope, and the only hope that is lasting is the hope we have in Christ. If you’re reading this, it is your responsibility to have conversations this week with those people in your life who you know need a message of hope in their lives. Make a difference this week Lake Orion.
**This will not be a touchy feely message where we kumbaya and light candles. Suicide is serious and we want it to end. In attempt to seriously combat this issue, we will be facing head on the issues that cause people to become depressed and isolated. The goal is to bring hope where there is none!
We have busses to transport students to and from this event. We leave from Lake Orion High School at 6pm. Please arrive around 5:45 to register.
