WP-Bible plugin students with the gospel is no easy task, but that’s what we want to see in metro Detroit and Orlando in February and March of 2011. We need all hands on deck. This new curriculum will help train students and leaders in sharing their faith in new and creative ways.

2010 November – Man Up (PDF)
We’re not ashamed to say it – in this generation, girls seem to be understanding faith in way bigger numbers than guys. That’s why we developed a curriculum on Ephesians 6 – the armor of God – to inspire new male warriors to take up their faith and carry it on.

2010 October – Coming Out (PDF)
Don’t let the cute prairie dogs fool you – what you’re about to get into together is pretty intense. We’re covering some heavy topics together: sexuality, substance abuse, suicide, and racism. Don’t be surprised if your students have had personal experiences with each of these subjects… and don’t be surprised if those experiences evoke some pretty raw emotions, uncover painful pasts, and elicit brutally honest conversation. Be prepared and be ready to listen. Be sensitive to where your students need to go emotionally and spiritually, and be aware of when you’ve taken them as far as you can go. In some cases, we recommend enlisting a little extra help.

2010 September – Zombie Nation (PDF)
This generation has to learn how to die before it can truly live. This curriculum is designed to do just that – to allow high school and college students to wrestle with what it means to die to our ways, and let Jesus live in us.

2010 May – Flash Mob (PDF)
Half of us make decisions in life that we end up regretting because of one reason alone: Boredom. We’re simply bored. Many creative ways to change the world are not being thought through because of one reason alone: Boredom. From war to disease, poverty, racism, materialism, we know that our world has issues… Could the worst of all be something as common as Boredom? Over the next 3 weeks we are going to be studying the concept of full life, and how the Holy Spirit can bring us fullness of life by giving us boldness, helping us discern the spiritual in everything we do, and allowing us to connect with those that are different than us.

2010 March – Tools (PDF)

2010 April – With Benefits (PDF)
It’s mating season… and not just for the deer! In high school, spring can be summed up by the following: pick-up football games, spring break, and short shorts. It is a season where physical attraction, relational drama, and school year break-ups reach a high. That’s why it is imperative to get raw and honest as we talk about sex, dating, and marriage – and the important vision God has for us in regard to all of it.

2009 September – On Your Mark (PDF)
This series takes us back to events that happened thousands of years ago. Creation, the fall, the life of Jesus – how can things that occurred that so long ago affect us today? As you work through this study, be in prayer and discussion with your group about a cause that you can get behind together – where and who can you serve with your time, talents, and energy? Hopefully after the first lesson your group will be inspired to embrace something that will lead to deeper understandings of purpose and fulfillment in this life.

2009 May – Kicking Butt & Taking Names (PDF)
This series is designed to expose the idols high school students have in their lives – barriers to a growing relationship with God, faced on a daily basis in school, on sports teams, and at home. This series will talk about how we’ve shaped our lives around these idols, and how to tear them down and experience the freedom Jesus died to give us. Try using Philippians 3:12-16Philippians 3:12-16

12 Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, if it is so that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus.
13 Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before,
14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, think this way. If in anything you think otherwise, God will also reveal that to you.
16 Nevertheless, to the extent that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule. Let us be of the same mind.
WP-Bible plugin as a theme passage for this series. It calls us to continually press on in our faith journeys, embracing the attitude that we’re never done – God always has something greater for us to work toward. This booklet is less formal and a bit shorter than other Edge curriculums have been, but with purpose – we want you to experience God with your students. Get outside or go serve together! We want you to build community and mission with your group as we head into the summer…

2009 March – Mating Season (PDF)
Most high school students are either in a relationship, have had one in the past, or are thinking about what and with whom the next one might be. The goal of this series is to spark open and honest discussions about relationships, and God’s intent behind them. We hope to create a place where students understand how sex, lust, mistakes, and marriage affect our relationships with God and with other people. It is our prayer that students would walk away equipped to engage in healthy, God-honoring relationships, regardless of when they happen. But more than that, we hope our students will understand their inherent value due to their creation in God’s own image, and that they will make choices within their relationships because they believe it – because what we do stems from who we believe we are.
January 2009
2009 January – Don’t Be One (PDF)
This series is based on the book of Proverbs – it’s a study of how wisdom grants us a better understanding of who God is, as well as the abundant life that He has planned for us. We want to learn why wisdom is something worth going after, and how to live it out. The greatest barriers to gaining wisdom and understanding are laziness, pride, and addictions. The first lesson in this booklet takes a deeper look at Proverbs and what wisdom really is. The following lessons in this booklet will each address one of those topics, and will show us that the ways to break through those barriers are to be proactive, humble, and free, all through Jesus Christ.

2008 November – James (PDF)
Good intentions, right? In the same way, we often intend to make godly decisions and live godly lives, we really do, but so many things get in the way: distractions, lack of discipline, pressure from other people…Unfortunately, good intentions just don’t seem to cut it. What good are they if we don’t follow through? The book of James provides practical advice on how to act on our good intentions. Its purpose is to challenge readers to take a good, hard look at their lives, and make the changes necessary to live for God – through faith and action. James wanted people to understand that faith is certainly foundational, but it must be genuine and lived out if it’s going to amount to anything.
